Our client, a specialty pharmaceutical located in Santa Monica is hiring an Accounting Manager. This is full-time opportunity with flexible schedule.

The Accounting Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and reporting on the financial activities of the organization.

Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to, the following:

Management of general ledger Assist VP of Finance with SEC filings (10Q, 10K, press releases) and board material package Experience with "accounting close" on a monthly basis Managing transactions for foreign subsidiary on a stand-alone basis Understanding of stock grants and recording stock based compensation expense Strong analytical skills Heavy Excel skills Qualifications:

CPA license preferred, but not required Big 4 experience is a nice to have, but not required Minimum of 4 years’ experience Industry specific experience NOT required. Quickbooks experience preferred Know/Understand all aspects of financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet) Understands accrual accounting and differences between cash and accrual Solid understanding of financials consolidation Detail oriented Organized Can prioritize tasks and work independently Good communication skills
