Duties and Responsibilities

Supplier Research:-

  • Conducting commodity based research to identify suppliers who are a good fit for sourcing opportunities that have been posted by Ariba buyer community
  • Increasing knowledge in various commodities to effectively conduct research and discuss opportunities with sellers

Supplier Outreach:-

  • Contacting sellers to provide education on the value of the Ariba Discovery solution and encouraging them to respond to sourcing opportunities that have been posted by Ariba buyer community
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Effectively tracking and communicating seller responses to the Discovery leadership team as needed


  • Contribute to best practices and innovative ideas to achieve business targets
  • Proposing solution enhancements to improve seller adoption of the Ariba Discovery solution
  • Contribute to documentation, process and training methodology improvements
  • Work collaboratively with global team members to share knowledge and best practices

Basic Minimum Qualifications:-

  • 2 to 4 years of professional inbound and outbound sales(direct or indirect calls) experience including minimum of 1 year of experience working with external customers or suppliers
  • Bachelor's Degree in any stream
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Knowledge

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of any of Ariba solutions. Ex: Sourcing Professional, Ariba Discovery, Ariba Network, etc.
  • Knowledge on RFI, RFP/RFQ

Preferred Experience

  • Experience contacting global suppliers and conducting research via the internet
  • Experience in handling or making calls related to payments and customer queries
  • Experience in procurement cycle
  • Conducting virtual training to external customers
