I am currently holding an International Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from CILT (Chartered Institute Logistics & Supply Chain of UK). Also, I am very fluent in English language and have an IELTS certificate in this regard. I have nearly six years of work experience in the area of buying and merchandising at head office level. I enjoy working within the buying department of Urban Décor as Procurement Manager. Previously I worked with the Sourcing and Marketing Department of Hyperstar as Asst. Merchandise Manager in one of the largest retail setups of the world. I can manage contracts with the suppliers and can negotiate terms and conditions with them. I am excellent at identifying seasonal trends, and ensuring that the items that we stock are relevant and will sell well. I am excellent at working in a team environment and can give directions and complete tasks on time. It is also possible for me to work on multiple tasks because of my ability to prioritize my projects.
My computer skills are quite high and I have a great understanding of many software packages including Microsoft Office. Because of these skills I am able to keep track of all purchase orders and can communicate with all departments in order to ensure they have all of the supplies needed to operate efficiently. In addition to it, I can easily work and adapt to new software systems for management.
When it comes to dealing with vendors you will find me better than anyone else because I am able to make negotiations that save the company money. This is done by getting quotes from multiple vendors and speaking with them to offer better deals for regular purchases.
