The Marketing Communications Advisor, as part of the Americas Fuels Marketing Communications team, is responsible for providing marketing communications management for one or more marketing programs across several disciplines such as creative development, media, digital activities, public relations, event management, etc. The Marketing Communications Advisor will be located in Houston, TX and works under the day to day direction of the Marketing Communications Manager or a Marketing Communications Team lead
Primary Job Functions
Serve as a brand steward and liaison with internal clients to understand program/product goals and objectives, define and recommend MarCom tactics, and to integrate individual campaigns into brand strategy and consolidated MarCom plans Contribute to ongoing communications plan that integrates strategic initiatives within a market related to assigned marketing offer (fuels, loyalty, promotion, sponsorships, payment, etc.) by working with Program Managers Manage ongoing alignment between Marketing Communications, 3rd party vendors and agencies (creative, media, public relations, others), and internal stakeholders including Marketing team members and Program Managers Develop detailed, project-specific plans for each marketing initiative
Plan and manage marketing communications budgets and closely track and monitor expenditures in support of various projects Lead the execution of tactical project plans by market and program to ensure messaging, creative, schedules, budgets and final deliverables are on target and meet metrics/success measures, as defined Prepare, share, and route for approval among stakeholders all project documentation per defined processes and procedures including Project Briefs, Marketing Briefs, Communication Proposals, Media Plans, etc. Manage all project results, research findings when appropriate, competitive activity, etc. to continually maximize internal and external opportunities Job Requirements
B.S. in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent degree/work experience Demonstrated work experience in marketing communications, agency, agency management, creative campaign development, media purchasing, digital marketing activities Proven ability to manage multiple projects in deadline driven environment Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders Proficient in Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and possesses excellent administrative and organizational competencies Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Team player with positive attitude and passion for Marketing Strong analytical skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Effective in managing relations with external service providers Customer service-oriented with good interpersonal skills Third party and vendor management
