This job offer is for physician Surgeonswith specialization in Family Medicine or other related speciality. Preference will be given to competitors having permit from any clinical council in CO. However, doctors with other states' licenses can also apply with confidence. As surgeon you will perform invasive medical procedures on patients, usually to correct a medical condition. You will be responsible for:
• Experience in setting up sterile fields and assisting doctor with in office procedures, suture/staple removal as well as cast removal.
• Assist doctors with surgeries and non-invasive procedures.
• Function as office nurse, assist with pre-operative instructions, post-operative dressings and appointment scheduling, examinations.
• Perform processing of blood auto-transfusion and follow established procedures during surgery.
• Participate in emergency management operations with DA staff.
• Provide general surgery services to rural community.
• Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures for newly organize group of general surgeons.
• Coordinate schedules with other surgeons and nurses who Dr. Bernstein would assist or would assist Dr. Bernstein.
• Provide patient ancillary testing such as EKG, NDX and NCV.
The ideal candidate should have license from the state of CO and the following qualifications:
• Great management and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Superb organizational and time management skills.
• 3 years of experience practicing as a General Surgeon.
• Current state medical license
• Certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties is essential
• Board Certified/Board Eligible
