As a Permit-to-Work Coordinator at Coastal Energy Contractors, you will play a crucial role in verifying the completeness of work permits before tasks commence. Your responsibilities will include checking energy isolation and area securing according to permit conditions, coordinating with operations, maintenance, and contractors on work schedules, archiving daily work permits while monitoring their validity period. Additionally, you will conduct on-site checks to ensure actual conditions align with permit specifications and halt work if permit requirements are not met. You will also compile weekly compliance statistics and assist in orienting new employees on permit-to-work procedures.

To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of a D3 degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications along with 2-4 years of experience managing permit-to-work systems in process facilities. Proficiency in LOTO (Lockout Tagout), gas testing procedures, hazardous areas understanding is essential. Attention to detail in document verification and effective cross-team communication skills are paramount. The ability to interpret basic P&IDs is an added advantage. Being comfortable working in operational areas under direct supervision while utilizing standard forms and maintaining meticulous records are key attributes we seek.
