You will also be responsible for archiving daily work permits, monitoring their validity periods, conducting on-site checks to compare actual conditions with permit specifications, halting work if permit requirements are not met, compiling work permit summaries and weekly compliance statistics. To excel in this role, you must possess a minimum of a D3 degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications along with 2-4 years of experience managing permit-to-work systems in process facilities. Proficiency in LOTO (Lockout Tagout), gas testing procedures, knowledge of hazardous areas is crucial. Attention to detail in document verification and effective cross-team communication skills are essential. Being able to interpret basic P&IDs is an added advantage. Your willingness to work in operational areas under direct supervision while being adept at using standard forms and maintaining orderly records is paramount.
