You will oversee compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, work permits, and daily safety procedures. Leading toolbox meetings and providing pre-job safety briefings will be crucial aspects of your role. Additionally, you will review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) from contractors to ensure proper mitigation measures are implemented on-site. Recording incidents, near misses, conducting initial investigations, and making improvement recommendations are essential tasks that you will handle diligently. To excel in this role, you must hold a minimum of a D3/S1 degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related fields. A proven track record of at least 3 years as an HSE professional in industrial or energy projects is required. Familiarity with work permits systems, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry protocols, hot work procedures is essential. Possessing a General K3 Expert certificate or equivalent would be advantageous. Strong communication skills for field interactions and report writing are necessary. Experience in conducting internal inspections and audits is preferred.
