We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager with over 10 years of corporate experience, ideally in the technology sector or venture capital, to provide expert financial consulting services to startups. This role is perfect for individuals who have a deep understanding of the venture capital, fundraising, and startup ecosystem and are looking to apply their skills as a CFO or Financial Controller in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis: Build and manage the preparation of comprehensive budgets, financial models, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and other finance reports to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Reporting: Review the company’s financial statements to ensure their accuracy and completeness. Prepare detailed month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budget Management: Forecast future financial performance, prepare and review budgets, and analyze variances to assist in long-term planning.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with government regulations and internal policies. Proactively identify and address potential financial risks.
Operational Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all financial activities.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and financial reporting.
Capital Structure Management: Control and evaluate the organization’s capital structure, ensuring optimal financial health and sustainability.
Audit and Policy Compliance: Coordinate audit processes and ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies and procedures.
Revenue Management: Ensure that all services and programs are appropriately accounted for and align with the organization’s revenue targets.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the technology sector or venture capital.
Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting in a corporate or startup environment.
Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, venture capital, and fundraising processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing finance teams.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
