We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic individual to lead our Data Management Unit as the Data Management Unit Head. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving SIO's data management strategy, establishing robust frameworks, and fostering a culture of data compliance across the organization. Your leadership will play a crucial role in optimizing our data governance practices and ensuring the effective utilization of data assets to support our mission.
As the Data Management Unit Head at SIO, your key responsibilities will include implementing the Data Strategy & Governance Plan, establishing an organization-wide data management framework, defining operational models for data management roles, enforcing data standards, managing key data initiatives, and ensuring compliance with relevant data regulations. You will also be required to liaise with various departments within SIO to update stakeholders on governance efforts and drive alignment towards common goals.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or a related field. A Master's degree would be considered advantageous. Additionally, candidates with certifications in data management or data governance are preferred. A minimum of 4 years' experience in data management leadership roles is essential for this position. Proficiency in English language skills, both written and verbal, is also required.
