Our client, a leading company in metal-based packaging (cans) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is currently seeking a Production Manager to join their team. As a key player in the packaging industry, our client prides itself on maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a safe and efficient work environment for its employees. The ideal candidate will have a background in Engineering, preferably as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 10 years of experience specifically in metal-based packaging. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication within the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing lid and can production processes, ensuring that machines and equipment are properly maintained to meet quality specifications. In addition to managing production efficiency projects using methods such as 5S, 8D, and Kaizen, the Production Manager will lead Production Planning and Maintenance teams to optimize operations. Coordinating with planning teams to schedule production activities, troubleshooting machine and product issues, determining spare part requirements, and implementing improvements using relevant tools/practices are all key responsibilities of this role.
To excel in this position, candidates must possess strong leadership skills to manage large production teams effectively. Experience in quality management systems such as BRC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 is crucial for maintaining high standards throughout the production process. The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while adhering to best practices and hygiene standards is essential for success in this role.
