As the Director of Internal Audit, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our internal audit function. You will lead and manage the internal audit team to conduct timely and effective audits, develop audit plans based on risk assessments, evaluate internal controls' adequacy, and compliance with policies and regulations. Your responsibilities will also include preparing detailed audit reports, presenting findings to senior management and the board, collaborating with various departments, monitoring audit recommendations' implementation, staying updated on industry trends, providing training to staff on best practices, and assisting in developing annual audit plans and budgets.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, proven leadership experience, proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite. Professional certifications such as CIA or CPA would be advantageous.
