Job Purpose
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible to build an effective learning and development function by designing and delivering core workshops based on learning analysis while working with and ensuring that all departments are achieving their learning objectives.
General Responsibilities Include:
Develop, implement, and maintain a management orientation program to introduce new managers to the expected leadership behaviors and management skills.
Develop and maintain an annual and monthly hotel learning calendar.
Set and manage a yearly and long-term L&D strategy
Develop, implement, and maintain an Orientation program for new colleagues
Monitor the success of the Onboarding Experience.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training to enable the achievement of desired business goals.
Assist in overseeing the effectiveness of Subject Matter Experts facilitation to ensure effective classroom delivery.
Revise core workshops as necessary in order to adapt to changes that occur in the work environment and organization.
Develop and maintain an annual and monthly hotel learning calendar.
Ensure all learning initiatives are strategically linked to the hotel’s vision and goals.
Develop collaborative relationships across departments and support the growth and strategic objectives of the hotel and company.
Work with the leadership team to identify and address colleagues’ and business needs through the facilitation of an in-depth LNA.
Manage the L&D budget.
Assist in other areas of the hotel as and when required, carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
Comply with the guidelines and policies established in the Colleague Handbook, Business Code of Conduct and Ethics policy, hotel’s regulations on fire, hygiene, health and safety.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene as per the hotel’s grooming standards at all times.
Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with colleagues in the department and all other departments.
Attend and contribute to meetings, department and hotel trainings and other scheduled activities.
Carry out your role in a safe and environmentally friendly way, protecting the health and safety of both colleagues and guests, as well as contributing to protecting the environment.
Comply with the hotel’s Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety procedures at all times.
Project at all times a positive attitude.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
Experience in management development and soft skills training
Experience in designing and delivering a variety of training solutions
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Leadership as well as team management and financial experience
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment with a positive can do attitude
Strong time and task management
Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
Qualification Standards:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Hospitality / Hotel / Human Resources / Licenses or certificates related to Learning & Development function preferred e.g. Executive Coaching, EQ, CIPD, Instructional Design, etc.
Experience: At least 1 year previous experience in a Human Resources function and L&D
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
