Job Objective
To develop, manage and deliver courses within Executive Training Programmes on specific areas of expertise, including curriculum development and ensuring efficient and effective delivery of training courses by AGDA policy and procedures.
To develop and update training courses with worldwide trends and engage in various training activities that influence UAE future diplomats in various fields of diplomacy.
To maintain constant professional development in the specific area of expertise.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
Develop the training kit, which includes learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to evaluate the trainees.
Develop effective, appropriate, and complete online and offline course materials for various diplomatic skills courses which will include among other topics, negotiation, protocol and etiquette, public diplomacy, climate diplomacy and 21st century diplomacy. The materials should include a range of teaching techniques, including lectures, interactive activities, taped and real-time video conferencing, and visiting lecturers.
Assist and support in delivering taught courses, regularly collecting, and responding to participant’s feedback.
Develop and deliver a performance-based evaluation of the diplomatic skills courses, and compile recommendations for improvements in training methodologies and materials.
Seek ways of improving performance by developing innovative instructional methods, and reflecting on training design, delivery, obtaining and analysing feedback.
Evaluate, and mentor participants’ learning Progress within a native and second language environment.
Participate in departmental and AGDA activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to work on research content related to Executive Training Department priorities.
Qualifications
Education
Master qualification is required in the relevant field of training, education or relevant field from a reputable/internationally accredited university.
PhD qualification is preferred.
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a public or private sector in a teaching/training environment.
Minimum 5 years teaching experience with a preference of working in a research-led environment.
A proven performance record in providing support and assistance within the education industry.
