With our ongoing efforts to support Emiratisation program we are recruiting Emirati talent for the role of Executive Director Learning and Development.



Job Title: Executive Director Learning and Development

Job Type: Permanent

Job Role:

Developing and implementing strategic plans for learning and development, including identifying training needs, and developing training programs to address them
Collaborating with senior leadership to develop training programs in areas such as leadership development and conflict resolution
Providing guidance and counseling to employees on personal development issues related to career planning and goal setting
Conducting performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and recommend ways to improve performance where needed
Managing employee performance through coaching, counseling, training, and discipline when necessary
Creating organizational culture through communication strategies that align with company values
Developing training materials and providing training services to employees to ensure they are meeting their job requirements
Developing and implementing a succession plan for key positions in the organization, including identifying future leaders and creating development plans for them
Reviewing new technologies for training applications and recommending effective uses to leadership


Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as education, human resources, psychology or business administration or master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, or another related field
Extensive experience in the field of training and development, and they may have advanced degrees in education or human resources.
Leadership: Leadership skills are an important part of a director’s skill set, as they are often responsible for overseeing the work of other directors and managers. Leadership skills can help you motivate your team, delegate tasks and inspire others to work hard.
Strategic thinking: Strategic thinking is the ability to plan and execute a plan to achieve a goal. As a director of learning and development, you may be responsible for creating and implementing training programs for your company. Strategic thinking can help you develop a plan to assess the needs of your employees, create a training program that meets those needs and evaluate the success of your program.
Technology: Be responsible for overseeing the implementation of new technology in the workplace. This can include overseeing the purchase of new technology, training employees on new technology and ensuring that the organization is using the most effective technology.
