LVMH Beauty Middle East manages 9 different brands including Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain, Make Up for Ever, Givenchy, Kenzo, Loewe, Acqua Di Parma, Benefit Cosmetics, and Maison Francis Kurkdjian. LVMH Beauty Middle East oversees an area of 47 countries in the Middle East, Africa, and India with subsidiaries and agents’ structures.
YOUR MISSION
Reporting to the General Manager, the Head Retail and Training develops & implements the Retail and Education Strategy in accordance with the brands’ global directions for the MEA region. You will be responsible for the beauty consultant performance in all channels and especially for our own boutiques’ network.
In addition, you will be in-charge of designing and implementing a training strategy that sets the highest standards of customer service worldwide, ensuring that all business objectives are met and looking for new development opportunities.
Your main responsibilities in this role include:
Retail operation and performance:
Develop the Local retail strategy for the region by making the Global Brand Strategy locally relevant to drive the business
Build a clientele-ing and direct to retail strategy in key doors
Identify improvements in current store operations, and leverage best practices worldwide to drive sales and KPI performance to maximize the stores’ performance
Drive business development and expansion strategies (from opening to daily management)
Participate in Commercial negotiations i.e. cost share, location and new door opening with the General Manager
CRM Specifics: Monitor CRM & data recruitment in line with Brand objectives
Monitor & report on market trends, competitors in the country and propose/initiate/take actions
Coordinate with the regional marketing department on yearly calendar / plan suitable for market as per the brand guidelines
Provide input to the marketing team on the marketing mix and new POS openings, ensuring smooth implementation
Retail culture and training:
Lead on the Education strategy for the region, supporting the local business strategy, but also the brand worldwide strategy
Manage and track budget for training department, by optimizing costs and planning
Diffuse a culture of performance (define, set-up and monitor main KPIs) and monitor ROI of training actions
Ensure brand message & image are successfully conveyed at counter through BA image and behavior
Ensure the highest standards of Customer interaction and product presentation (e.g. mystery shopping)
Support Store Managers with key retail competencies to drive productivity and follow up on all retail KPI's for the brand
Provide the frontline teams with induction/training/coaching tools and materials to ensure perfect consumer experience and product knowledge within the field teams (multi-languages English/Arabic)
Support and advise on the career development plans of the field teams and supervise the top position talent pool/succession planning
Report on a monthly basis on Education KPIs and link with Retail/Sales KPIs to measure impact of Education actions on business results, and ensure optimization of human and financial resources
People Management:
Manage all aspects of HR cycle for direct reports in your assigned area including recruitment, development, retention and leavers etc
Support roster arrangement needed in store, on podiums and events: talents involvement, headcount supporting sales, training in place & customer journey
Build an engaged and strong team
Conduct regular meetings with the team to review target and incentives. Monitor Sell-Out team performance to increase productivity
Support and drive teams to achieve sales target with luxury sense of service. Ensure POS & Field teams represent the brand imagery in all Boutiques & POS
Set up recognition vs Brand priorities: Set target vs business ambition & monitor competitive package vs competition. Motivate all teams by organizing key brand moments for reward
YOUR PROFILE:
10+ years’ experience in retail, training, and managing boutiques, of which at least 5+ in a managerial position
Passion for cosmetics & luxury
Results and service oriented: friendly, patient, dedicated, adaptable, empathetic
Ability to adapt to different teams, brands, markets and to deal with ambiguity
Highest work ethics and integrity
Pro-active, dynamic, enthusiastic, flexible, team player, entrepreneur, committed, self-driven
Good business acumen and Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good computer skills (e.g. Excel & PowerPoint)
English and Arabic fluency is a must French, Italian, or Spanish is a plus
