Finance Manager

Our client, a global commodity trading company based in Dubai, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the Finance and Accounting functions of their Shipping Group. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring effective financial planning, risk management, and fiscal discipline while supporting decision-making and strategic business partnering within the shipping finance sector. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in structured and project financing, along with expertise in negotiating with banks for vessel acquisitions.

As the Finance Manager, you will lead the team in setting the vision, scope, objectives, and KPIs for Finance and Accounting functions. You will contribute to the development of the organization's strategy and business plans while overseeing key initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder commitments. Additionally, you will assist top management and shareholders with strategic decision-making on growth and investment opportunities by conducting necessary due diligence.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various financial aspects such as preparing company budgets, tracking performance against them, providing reports to meet targets, controlling expenditures, forecasting cash flow and profitability. You will also identify financial risks faced by the organization and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Furthermore, you will foster strong stakeholder relationships through timely reporting while maintaining transparency and adhering to corporate governance standards.
