As the Finance Manager at Stryde, you will work closely with the CEO to establish robust processes and systems for financial transaction management. Your role will involve collaborating with tech and product teams to automate financial operations efficiently. This multifaceted position requires a blend of analysis, execution, planning, and innovation. From reconciling transactions to optimizing costs and cash flows, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to regulatory standards set by the DFSA. As our authorized Finance Officer/Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all financial regulations.
Key responsibilities include ensuring client money and fund accounts reconcile consistently, developing OKRs to enhance financial health across the company, producing periodic financial statements, managing financing cycles effectively, setting up payment templates in online banking apps, overseeing bank account logistics, and collaborating with the executive team on financial reporting. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining accounting policy manuals, reviewing bookkeeping schedules monthly for compliance with IFRS standards and firm policies, verifying assets and liabilities accurately, preparing balance sheet substantiations for all accounts, managing client money accounts as per regulatory rules.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in finance roles within regulated financial institutions or Big 4 audit firms. Expert knowledge of accounting processes and IFRS rules is essential. Experience as a DFSA-authorized Finance Officer or venture capital-specific functions is advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills with attention to detail along with qualifications such as CA, CPA or CFA being a plus. Proficiency in liaising with regulators and auditors on finance-related matters is crucial.
