We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Middle East Finance Operations Team. This role involves supporting the Finance Manager Statutory Compliance and regional tax team in ensuring ME&A tax compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing documentation, schedules, and reconciliations needed for tax compliance activities across the ME&A region. Additionally, they will assist in preparing corporate income tax returns, VAT returns, WHT returns, and more for entities operating in various countries within the region.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognized accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the Middle East. They should have sound knowledge of Middle East tax regulations and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong communication skills in English are essential. The successful candidate will work closely with the regional tax team to ensure data and documentation meet tax compliance requirements while also assisting with statutory compliance matters. Additionally, they will collaborate with auditors and contribute to business improvement projects.

Key Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Experience in a tax role for a construction/engineering consultancy organisation
  • Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions
  • Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA or other recognised Accounting qualification
  • Sound knowledge of Middle East tax regulations and requirements
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Enterprise Planning Management (EPM) and Oracle
