Role and Responsibilities:
As the Learning and Development Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the Learning and Development strategy. You will work closely with senior leadership and HR teams to create, manage, and deliver comprehensive learning programs that align with business goals. Your main responsibilities will include:
L&D Strategy: Develop and execute a forward-looking Learning and Development strategy that supports the company's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
Training Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify skill gaps and training needs across the organization.
Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and maintain training programs and content, including e-learning modules, workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training.
Leadership Development: Implement leadership and management development programs to nurture our current and future leaders.
Employee Development: Create pathways for employee growth and development, including career development plans, mentorship programs, and performance management initiatives.
Learning Technologies: Explore and implement learning technologies, platforms, and tools to enhance the learning experience and make it more accessible to employees.
Assessment and Evaluation: Establish metrics and systems for assessing the effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives. Make data-driven improvements as needed.
Budget Management: Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external training providers and consultants as necessary.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all training and development activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records and reports for compliance purposes.
Change Management: Help manage organizational change by providing training and support for employees during periods of transition.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a related field (master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in learning and development.
Strong understanding of learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in learning and development.
