The client is a Category 2 Firm currently undergoing establishment in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), known as one of the most vibrant financial centers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This Firm will focus on providing credit services to commodity trading companies across Europe, Switzerland, UAE, and the Middle East, utilizing its expertise in commodity trade financing to support regional businesses and capitalize on the dynamic international trade market in the UAE.
As the Chief Financial Officer, you will report directly to the Firm's SEO and play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority's (FSRA) regulatory reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass establishing financial planning processes, budgeting, and forecasting strategies to align with the Firm's growth objectives. You will develop and implement financial strategies aimed at enhancing performance and ensuring long-term success. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of financial systems and controls to manage the Firm's activities effectively while ensuring access to adequate financial resources for business continuity.
Key qualifications for this role include a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance functions, preferably within banking sectors such as DIFC or ADGM or with a Big4 Audit Firm. Professional finance qualifications like CPA, CMA, or ACA are highly desirable. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint is essential along with strong data analysis skills. Candidates should possess solid expertise in Accounting & Finance principles, a thorough understanding of IFRS accounting standards and FSRA regulatory reporting requirements. Fluency in English is mandatory while knowledge of other languages would be considered an asset.
