**Position Overview:**
As the Vice President of Engineering at Douglas Dynamics, you will play a crucial role in leading all aspects of new product development, technical continuous improvement projects, engineering processes, budget control, and team development across all company locations. Your responsibilities will also include defining and implementing corporate strategic objectives to ensure the organization's success in the marketplace.

**Responsibilities:**
- Foster a culture aligned with the company’s core values and vision statement
- Participate in leadership teams to prioritize new products and business initiatives
- Define metrics to align employees with company goals
- Provide support for ongoing projects by aligning resources effectively
- Lead direct and indirect reports to enhance process consistency within functions
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and intellectual property filings
- Develop engineering team members through training opportunities

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience in product development with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in manufacturing engineering with tooling automation and robotics
- Strong design for manufacturing & quality mindset
- Collaborative leadership style with strategic planning abilities
