The Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing the development of process-improvement training and communication materials for our organization. This role will involve establishing key partnerships with division and corporate leadership, corporate training and development teams, vendors, and various departments within the company to ensure the successful rollout of initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in developing training processes using different delivery methods, strong project management skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Candidates should demonstrate exceptional facilitation skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and a track record of successfully managing releases using tools like Jira. Experience with Canva, power automate, teams survey forms creations, as well as knowledge of retail operations and lean sigma principles are highly desirable. Key responsibilities include leading the design of company-wide training materials that align with our Customer 1st strategy; maintaining relationships with various stakeholders to ensure successful solution development; facilitating working sessions to enhance training processes; collaborating with Corporate Training and Development on instructional best practices; defining current and future state business process training; as well as assisting in planning key meetings critical for project success.

Key Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in developing training processes/instructional design utilizing different delivery methods
  • Experience in supervising technical writers and the creation of learning tools
  • Previously been responsible for managing releases using Jira
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Lean Sigma Green belt or higher training
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the training team in the design of company-wide training (toolkits, KTV broadcasts, web-based learning modules (WBLs) and communication kits) that increase efficiencies, decrease cost, and meet our Customer 1st strategy.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate departments, division leadership, and division associates including the division rollout manager, store managers, and district managers and district teams to ensure successful development and rollout of solutions.
  • Guide the facilitation of working sessions to develop current and future-state training processes.
  • Work with Corporate Training and Development in the creation and review of training materials through best instructional learning practices.
