Shermco Industries, North America's largest NETA-accredited electrical testing organization since 1974, is seeking a Regional Director of Engineering to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to ensure the proper and safe functioning of electrical power systems through our Professional Engineering Group, Rotating Machinery Division, Renewable Energy Services, and Field Repair Service Centers. As the Regional Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for guiding teams, managing resources, and driving innovation to achieve organizational goals. Working closely with the SVP of Engineering and other regional Engineering Directors, you will develop and implement engineering strategies that align with our company's vision. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and testing of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols across multiple locations in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
To excel in this position, you must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 7-10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the Power Generation or Oil & Gas industries is desired along with a proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects successfully. You should possess strong project management skills, proficiency in electrical design software tools, and excellent problem-solving abilities. A professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is preferred.
