Job Purpose:
To lead, plan and direct the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures related to Internal Audit by managing the overall assessment of internal controls and related risks within Badael and giving professional independent opinions and recommendations to the audit committee, Board of Directors, CEO and audited departments on critical risk and compliance issues.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and direct the implementation of internal audit strategy in alignment with Badael’s vision, mission and objectives.
•Ensure that the strategy is translated into annual operational plans for Internal Audit and the performance is monitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with the overall strategy.
•Direct the preparation and consolidation of the Internal Audit Department budgets and monitor financial performance against the budget so that potential financial challenges and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
•Direct, oversee, and guide the audit team to accomplish audit programs in accordance with acceptable local and international audit standards and stipulated schedules
•Direct the development and seek approval for the annual Internal Audit plan ensuring alignment of all business units to promote achievement of Bada’el’s business strategy.
•Assess the adequacy of current controls and create new cost-effective internal controls for effective protection against risks.
•Oversee the investigation process to ensure that any suspected fraudulent activities are identified and rectified in a timely and cost-effective manner.
•Ensure regular follow up with the different departments in order to have maximum adherence to the audit recommendations.
•Guide the execution of external audit within Bada’el for statutory and regulatory purposes and/or any other purpose thereof.
•Direct the development and oversee the implementation of Functional policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
•Ensure that all functional reports are completed in a timely manner and are compliant Bada’el’s policies and standards.
Academic & Professional Qualification:
•At least 8-10 years of relevant experience, including3-5 years in an Internal Audit Function of a Tabaco FMCG, or pharmaceutical industries
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required
•Professional Qualification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Certificate in International Auditing (Cert IA).
