If so, our esteemed client, a prominent player in the corporate realm, is actively seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Internal Audit to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards in Saudi Arabia.
As the Executive Director of Internal Audit, you will take the helm of the Internal Audit Function, assuming a position of immense significance within the organisation. Your key responsibilities will encompass:
Leading the Internal Audit function to provide objective and independent assurance and consulting in strict compliance with corporate governance regulations.
Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of the organisation's risk management processes to ensure effective risk identification and management.
Ensuring that the organisation adheres to established internal procedures, policies, statutory regulations and maintains the quality and effectiveness of business control processes.
Overseeing a dedicated team, developing an annual risk-based audit plan, and offering guidance and direction to audit activities.
Cultivating and sustaining constructive relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
Presenting an annual assessment of the function organisation and recommending structural changes as necessary to ensure a well-staffed and competent team to deliver audit services. You will also be tasked with developing an in-house Internal Audit team to assume responsibility for internal audit activities from the Outsource Partner where it makes sense.
Participating on steering committees for transformational projects to ensure that risks and controls are thoroughly assessed and designed for the project.
To excel in this role, you should bring to the table:
Our ideal candidate would be a Saudi national (As per the Saudi government regulations) with a wealth of over 10 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 4 years in manufacturing or FMCG space.
A bachelor's degree from a prestigious college or university, along with professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant, CIA, or CPA.
A steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards.
A background in a reputable Big 4 Practice, showcasing expertise in internal auditing, mastery of accounting principles, and a deep understanding of management best practices would be preferred.
