As a Senior Project Manager at Parsons, you will be responsible for providing direction and management for medium-sized projects or multiple small projects. Your role will involve ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget while meeting contractual obligations. You will oversee scope development, scope management, and commercial performance to achieve project goals. With a focus on client objectives and corporate policies, you will plan program goals and devise effective methods to accomplish them. This position typically manages projects up to $100 million in total installed cost.
Your responsibilities will include planning, directing, supervising, and controlling all aspects of the assigned project. This involves establishing project execution plans, health and safety plans, quality assurance/quality control plans, and other necessary documents. You will assign responsibilities to key subordinates based on their qualifications and strengths. Additionally, you will negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and subcontractors while securing additional work opportunities. Collaboration with office facilities staff to address project space requirements is also essential.
To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical/business field along with 15+ years of relevant work experience. Previous project management experience on similar projects is required. The ability to meet Parsons project management certification requirements is essential. Strong communication skills, industry knowledge, familiarity with current technology applications in projects are also necessary for success in this position.
