Our client, a leading company in Dubai's financial sector, is currently looking to add an Accountant to their dynamic Finance & Accounting team. In this full-time role based in Dubai, the Accountant will be responsible for various financial operations crucial to the organization's success, including managing accounts receivable and payable, as well as maintaining accurate general ledger records. The successful candidate will work closely with team members and report directly to senior management, ensuring precise financial records and timely reporting.
Key responsibilities for this role include overseeing accounts receivable processes such as invoicing and collections, processing accounts payable transactions promptly, and maintaining the general ledger's accuracy through reconciliation. Additionally, the Accountant will assist in month-end closing activities, prepare financial reports, contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts when necessary, and collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements that enhance overall efficiency.
To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field along with 1-2 years of relevant experience. A strong grasp of accounting principles and financial standards is essential, coupled with excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel. Familiarity with accounting software would be advantageous.
