As a key player in the financial analysis department, the Commercial Finance Analyst will be instrumental in providing insights and support to drive commercial decision-making and enhance business performance. Reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing sales data, conducting pricing analysis, evaluating profitability, and contributing to the development of commercial strategies.
The primary responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Analyst include analyzing sales data, revenue trends, and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities. This role also involves conducting financial modeling and forecasting to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Additionally, the analyst will perform profitability analysis by product lines, customer segments, and regions to assess performance and identify areas for optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to identify requirements and opportunities while building strong relationships across departments.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant finance experience in a well-developed corporate finance environment. A graduate from a top university or business school with an internationally recognized professional qualification (such as ICAEW, CIMA, CPA, CFA, CA) would be preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must-have skill for this role, with familiarity in data query/data management tools (such as Access, SQL) being extremely helpful. Experience in B2B Distribution, FMCG, Contracting or Retail finance would be advantageous. The successful candidate should be dynamic, driven, energetic, and eager to drive business decision-making.
