As the Engineering Manager at ATSC, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a diverse team of systems, mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful completion of engineering projects while contributing to the overall technical strategy and goals of the organization. You will serve as a bridge between the engineering team and upper management, focusing on both technical expertise and managerial aspects.
Key Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, mentoring engineering talent; providing leadership and guidance to the team; overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery; defining project scope, goals, and deliverables; collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements; continuously improving engineering processes; managing resources effectively; staying up-to-date with industry trends; providing technical direction; reviewing technical designs; solving complex technical challenges; ensuring alignment between engineering objectives and business goals.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field with 5-8 years of proven experience in engineering roles. Additionally, they should possess 5-8 years of experience in leadership or managerial roles with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, project management expertise using relevant tools. Knowledge of Government funded contracts along with Regulatory Standards (MIL-STD-810) is essential. Preferred skills include familiarity with system-level integration, C5ISR products knowledge including sensors like EO/IR cameras & Radars.
