**About the Opportunity:**
As the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering reporting directly to the Plant Manager at our Orangeburg facility, you will lead a team of eight direct reports. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing manufacturing operations by optimizing machine efficiency and product quality while driving cost reduction initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the Manufacturing Engineering team to develop innovative process improvements; optimizing manufacturing efficiency through advanced process development; establishing labor standards for productivity; collaborating with internal teams and customers for engineering solutions; developing cost-reduction strategies with superior product quality; ensuring compliance with industry standards; promoting safety/environmental awareness/regulatory adherence; utilizing data-driven insights & SPC methodologies for operational performance enhancement; representing the manufacturing division during tours/customer visits.

**What We’re Looking For:**
The ideal candidate should possess 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering (with 5-10 years in management), a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience), strong leadership/interpersonal skills for effective engagement across all levels. Cable manufacturing experience is desirable while extrusion experience is necessary. A systems-oriented mindset with data-driven decision-making approach is crucial alongside proficiency in PC-based tools for analysis/reporting/communication. Knowledge of metrology/thermoplastics/thermosets/process improvement methodologies is required along with expertise in manufacturing safety/environmental regulations/quality systems. A goal-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence is essential.
