One of the leading family groups in the GCC is now looking for a new CHRO.
The role will to take over from the existing CHRO who has transformed the group and is now moving to a new group role.
The Person will be responsible for the following;
Strategy
Participate in the development of corporate strategy, providing functional HR leadership and challenge to test the viability of the strategy and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process.
Strategic Workforce Planning
Lead the creation of a strategic workforce plan for the global organization to provide a framework for the sourcing and development of talent and to enable the delivery of the business strategy.
Board Relationship
Develop and maintain relationships with board members, identifying priorities, issues, and strategic challenges and preparing them for discussion.
HR Frameworks and Tools
Lead the development of HR frameworks and tools to enable the attraction, development, and retention of talent at a sustainable cost. Ensure coherence across national boundaries and compliance with legal requirements.
Leadership and Direction
Drives and communicates the HR strategy, along with the actions needed to implement it, for achieving the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Information and Business Advice
Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team of the organization to enable them to implement strategy, projects and change initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
Leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Performance Management
Manage and report on business performance; hold direct reports accountable for achievement of business plans, and take corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of business objectives, balancing the need to deliver short-term business objectives with the longer-term delivery of stakeholder value.
Organizational Capability Building
Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs. Embed personal development and the fulfillment of personal potential in the culture of the organization.
Designs, directs, and manages a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, high performance development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
Internal Client Relationship Management
Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the global organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
Governance
Establish a structured system to ensure that the organization's human capital is effectively and ethically managed in alignment with its overall goals and objectives, including compliance with corporate, legal and regulatory requirements, ethical considerations, and strategic alignment with the business.
Technology
Oversee the management of HR technology and systems. Ensure that technology solutions support the collection and analysis of HR data.
Training and Development
Contribute to the success of the company by linking company strategy and initiatives to L&D activities across the subsidiaries and provide a strategic approach, ensuring consistent alignment of the L&D strategy across the various holding companies and their subsidiaries
Employee Relations
Develop and recommend Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regards to employee relations in order to establish a positive employer-employee relationship.
Compensation & Benefits
Provide thought leadership and oversight for the development and delivery of the company’s compensation, incentive, and benefits programs at all levels, ensuring market competitiveness and reflection of the organization’s compensation policy.
Startup incubator
Provides a supportive environment where new businesses or projects are nurtured and provided with HR resources to help them grow and establish themselves.
Talent management
Oversee talent management strategies. Identify senior key talent across the subsidiaries and implement initiatives and programs to retain and develop high potential employees
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Group CEO.
The Person
You will have at least 20 years HR experience and currently be heading up the HR function in a diversified Family group. Arabic is not essential for this role but a strong strategic background would be a distinct advantage.
The role is based in Abu Dhabi and will be 5 days per week in the office.
