ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Director of Finance is responsible for effectively and profitably managing the company's finances. This role acts as a business partner to the CEO, reporting to them on the company's financial performance and providing strategic advice. The Director of Finance is also in charge of the Finance, Treasury, Controlling, and Compliance departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance
Lead the management of the full financial statement (statutory local GAAP and IFRS Group) for all monthly closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee the monthly Business Review, analyzing results against historical performance, forecasts, and budget, and identify and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Develop and execute the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, ensuring alignment with the Verallia’s strategic goals.
Prepare and submit required financial information to Verallia Holding, in accordance with established reporting guidelines.
Manage receivables collection and overdues, ensuring that customers are paying their bills on time.
Oversee fixed asset and inventory management, ensuring that assets are properly accounted for and used efficiently.
Work with the external payroll consultancy (ADP) and HR to ensure accurate and timely payroll posting and analysis.
Perform miscellaneous finance missions, as needed.
Controlling
Supervise the accounting department, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
Conduct profitability analysis to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes, and analyze variances to identify and address potential problems.
Serve as a business partner to Operations and Sales, providing financial analysis and modeling support.
Treasury
Treasury management, payment execution
Cash forecast, liquidity analysis
Working knowledge and relations with banking institutions
Tax
Manage Verallia’s tax affairs, in collaboration with external tax consultants.
IT
Maintaining master data (chart of account, cost center structure, product costing, vendors…)
SAP maintenance and evolutions in relation with IT teams
Project implementation (SAP S/4)
Legal and Internal Control
Serve as the Internal Control Officer, responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
Enforce group policies and maintain and develop the company's internal procedures.
In relation with the CEO, management of legal issues
Team Leadership and Management
Provide hands-on leadership to the operations team, fostering motivation and equipping team members with the necessary skills and resources for success.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to nurture the professional growth of team members and enhance their knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:
6-8 years of related experience or equivalent
Proven multi-tasking skills inFinance, Controlling, Treasury, Internal Audit
Developing standards, auditing, accounting, corporate finance, tracking budget
Performance-driving mindset
International/multinational experience is a strong plus
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating direct reports and team
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with intense deadlines
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with all levels of management
Strong entrepreneurial spirit
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Proficient on SAP and Microsoft Suite of Products with an Advanced knowledge of Excel
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent, MBA preferred
