As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at XYZ Corporation, you will oversee all finance-related functions, including defining and executing financial strategies, financial planning and control activities, accounting tasks, internal controls, and business planning initiatives. Working closely with the general manager and senior management team, you will lead a finance team of three members to support them and enhance their skills. Your role involves formulating finance strategies aligned with the company's vision and mission, providing financial guidance to senior management in achieving targets, engaging with stakeholders on financial matters, evaluating business opportunities for operational impacts, and collaborating with partners to enhance customer collections and KPIs.
In addition to managing strategic planning processes like budget preparation and annual forecasting, you will monitor cash flows, authorize banking activities alongside the General Manager or Director, ensure timely financial reporting to Head Office on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will also be responsible for maintaining internal financial policies and procedures while overseeing bookkeeping functions such as general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable management, payroll oversight. Furthermore, you will identify areas for process efficiency improvements within the finance department while negotiating with banks for necessary financial services.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess a master's degree in Finance or Accounting or hold a professional accounting qualification like an MBA. With over 10 years of experience in similar roles within utility or environmental sectors preferred. Strong analytical skills are essential along with exceptional leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
