One of our prestigious clients is currently looking for an experienced CFO/Chief Financial Officer to join the team in Dubai.
Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Group Chief Financial Officer to be in Dubai.
The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, including financial planning, financial reporting, and financial statements.
The CFO will work with senior management to ensure the financial health and stability of the company.
Candidate must perform effective risk management and plan the organization’s financial strategy.
Candidate must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command.
The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and sustainable growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead strategic financial planning initiatives of the company.
Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments.
Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks.
Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure.
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
Manage vendor relationships.
Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports.
Set up and oversee the company’s finance IT system.
Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
Manage a team of financial analysts.
Lead and develop the finance teams across multiple geographies, reporting directly to the Owners and CEO
Maintain good relationships with banks, financial institutions, and senior officers in statutory regulatory bodies.
Establish and maintain documentation of internal controls, policies, and procedures related to financial reporting and compliance.
Oversee and assist in tax filings and compliance documentation.
Supervise accounting and financial operations, ensuring transparency and the timely preparation of financial statements.
Develop and execute financial strategies that foster revenue and profit growth, providing strategic insights to the board while maintaining high-level accounting standards.
Qualifications
Proven 10 years’ experience as CFO or a Finance Director.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from a prestigious university. MBA, CMA, CPA, or CFA qualification is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
Experience working in a high-growth start-up environment, or an event agency is an added advantage.
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
Ability to strategize and solve problems.
Strong leadership with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication and people skills.
An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.
Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills.
Experience working in a high-growth start-up environment is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
Has a strong relationship with Banks.
